Please 🙏 read the official response to the idea first over here.

Introduction

For five years (2016-2020), I have tried understanding a new way of increasing sales of Nokia smartphones in Kenya. In the beginning I thought of a handset marketed with a new app. The target niche I was focused on was a Nokia handset with a secure IEBC voting app.

Five years down the road and more than 3,000 views on this website, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as social media platforms; that project has been archived. The reasons are IEBC app is applicable only after constitutional change in Kenya and the Nokia Community feels like the idea is becoming spam (in our shared view).

Also two separate people thought I was a conman on Facebook. In the spirit of being customer centric, I have devised a new strategy based on existing (not conceptual) platforms.

Safaricom Web hosting App

The proposal I'm making is an app where Safaricom subscribers use Zuri© to guide them to promote their own businesses through their own free website hosted by Safaricom's servers, designed for mobile browsers.

Microsoft Office is the perfect starting point as MS Frontpage works well with code editing. MS Office can be used to increase the customer base by involving students from secondary to graduate level to create, edit and share and submit assignments.

Zuri © should know HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript and simply it for subscribers so that they personalize their websites according to their custom needs.

The app should also support video calling and messaging to facilitate communication while using the service not only for customer care but, also attending to clients and teachers.

Safaricom Nokia X-XX

The unique design of the "compass" dial, 3 Android buttons and the "Return" key is to give the convince of accurately counting single spaces while writing or editing code and still maintain Android OS functions.

The fingertip isn't very accurate in placing the cursor in awkward spaces. With a compass button you just need to drop your finger and use the compass to more efficiently navigate. The screen will also stay cleaner from fingerprint marks often experienced due to zooming in and out to place the cursor while editing code for people with sweaty fingers like me 😉

Summary

The mathematics is usually the weakest point in my consultancy but, I will give it a go.

📱 I target a device with a 3 year warranty with annual software updates and royalties for the design in the tune of $🇺🇸 3.50 per handset; a total of 10,000 units to distributed in my agreement (extra sales are to the investors benefit). That's ($🇺🇸 3.50 * 10,000)=$🇺🇸 35,000

📱 I target an app with 100,000 subscribers yielding an advertising revenue from Google Ads for $🇺🇸 2,500 per month for 120 months "consultancy" contract with me. That's: ($🇺🇸 2,500 * 120 months)= $🇺🇸 300,000

Conclusion

📱 If this message reaches the CEO of Safaricom on time, I would like him to consider this unsolicited idea outside the company.

📱 If Safaricom can raise this amount and deposit it with me, I start with a prayer and ask Allah/God to give this business deal and its partners 10 years to fully recover from debt (which I hope is not overburdening).

📱 Any surplus in profits within that period is what is defined as profit and not accumulated interest.
