CHAPTER 96: Surah al-Alaq {The Leach-like Clot}
In The Name of Allah-The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.
(1) Recite, in the Name of your Lord, who Created.
(2) Created Mankind from a leach-like clot.
(3) Recite and your Lord is Most Generous-
(4) Who Taught by the Pen.
(5) Taught Mankind, that which Mankind did not know.
(6) No! Mankind but transgresses!
(7) Mankind, thinks himself, self-sufficient.
(8) To your Lord, indeed, is the Return.
(9) Have you seen, the one, who forbids-
(10) A servant, when he prays?
(11) Have you seen if he is upon True Guidance?
(12) Does he enjoin Righteousness?
(13) Have you seen, if he denies and turns away?
(14) Does he not know, that Allah; does See?
(15) No! If he does not desist; We will drag him by the forelock!
(16) A lying and sinful forelock.
(17) Let him then, call his companions.
(18) Allah will Call the Angels of Hellfire.
(19) No! Obey not him but, prostate and draw nearer to Allah!
